THE MOVE BEGAN Oct. 7 for more
than 200 providers and staff members at
PeaceHealth Medical Group’s Downtown
Eugene clinic.
That’s when they started the process of
shifting the downtown clinic’s departments and
services to PeaceHealth’s University District
clinic at 1200 Hilyard St. The transition is
expected to be complete by Nov. 21 and will
create a comprehensive clinic that includes
primary and specialty care, laboratory and
imaging services, and a retail optical shop.
In addition, University District clinic
patients will have direct access to Sacred
Heart Medical Center services, including the
Emergency Department, the Acute Care for
Elders (ACE) program, Oregon Rehabilitation
Center, Behavioral Health Services, the Gamma
Knife Center and general medical care beds.
The move is made possible by the
remodeling of the University District building,
which started in January 2011 and is fnishing
ahead of schedule. The Ear, Nose and Throat
(ENT) and Audiology departments have already

moved from the second to the sixth foor of
the building and the Diabetes, Endocrine &
Metabolism Services (DEMS) Department has
moved from the second to the ffth foor.
